I’m Zach Glassman, Founder of Tastings with the Glass Man. For over fifteen years I’ve worked in the wine industry. From restaurant floors to winery tasting rooms to wine shops that sold exclusively California cult wines, I’ve lived every facet of the wine world. Now I bring all of it directly to you through private wine events and through my on-call membership.
I didn’t grow up around great wine. We rarely had wine in the house during my childhood, but yearly excursions to Italy and France as a child piqued my interest. From the first sips to my first full glass, every experience with wine was unforgettable. Through college and into my adult life, I kept bumping into wine: first as a job in a wine shop that turned into years of delving into the industry and my certification, then two and a half years in California that began as a two-week vineyard internship.
I learned that what I loved most about wine, and still do, is the feeling of introducing someone to the first wine that resonates with them. The way someone takes a sip, closes their eyes, and drifts off into the moment and the flavor is a sensation I want to experience forevermore. It isn’t about critical scores; it isn’t about perception. It’s about that one defining moment when something clicks, and that moment goes on and on.
I built Tastings with the Glass Man to bring those moments to people every day. Whether through custom-built private events or through the Wine Line, Tastings with the Glass Man turns wine from something to be feared or misunderstood into the pure joy it should be.
